Campaigns
Overview
Admins can create and give out custom campaign codes that can have different free credit amounts than referral program amounts.
Each campaign can be activated or deactivated manually.
There are two types of campaigns:
Campaign type 'New Users'
Free credit is given on following events depending on the system configuration:
Pre - payment: On first top-up of the user’s first billing account.
Post - payment: On creation of the user’s first billing account
Campaign type 'All Users'
A user can enter a campaign code for their billing account. The code can be used once for each billing account.
Pre - payment:
the billing account has at least one top up
Post - payment: All accounts
The existing campaigns are listed under Admin / Settings: A new campaign can be added on this page by clicking “Add new” button:
Adding campaign
For a new campaign the following fields have to be filled:
Campaign code - free format code distributed to the users to be used on signup
Campaign type - indicating if the campaign is valid for new or all customers
Campaign description - internal description of the campaign not shown to the users
Credit amount - the free credit amount the user receives.
Status - Active / Deactive. An active campaign will be valid immediately after creation. A deactive campaign has to be activated manually.
Changing campaign
For changing an existing campaign there is a “Edit” button” in the campaign’s list:
For the existing campaigns only campaign description and status can be changed:
Using the campaign code
New Customers
The campaign code given to users can be entered on the signup page:
All customers
The “All Users” campaign code can be entered on the billing account page.
If the entered code is valid and the created billing account or made top-up meets the requirements described above, the user will get the free credit and new transaction will appear in the user’s balance history on Billing Account page:
Campaign usage tracking
There is a column on the campaigns' list showing how many times the campaign code has been successfully used.
Clicking on the usage count directs to the billing account’s list that have been created by using this campaign code.
Note that the filtered Billing account list may be different from the usage count in some reasons:
usage count includes deleted billing accounts that are not shown in the filtered results
the same campaign code can be reused for a new campaign if an old one is deleted. They have different usage counts but both appear if filtered in the billing account table.
Example:
historical campaign “Spring 2021 bonus 30$”, code “spring30” - [the campaign is deleted] - credit given 10 times
campaign “Spring 2022 bonus 30$”, code “spring30” - credit given 25 times
in campaign list “Spring 2022 bonus 30$”, code “spring30” usage count is 25
in billing account list 35 billing accounts appear from both campaigns filtered by campaign code “spring30”
In usage count real credit count given by this campaign is shown. In billing account list the billing account may have the campaign code assigned but actually the user has not received the credit.
Example:
user creates a billing account and deletes it
user creates another billing account with campaign code “spring30”
the billing account does not receive the free credit:
usage count in the campaign list does not increase
the billing account appears in the filtered billing account list
The used campaign code is shown in “Referral code used” column. If several campaign codes have been used for the billing account the codes are shown as a comma separated list: code1, code2, code3
